Welsh Cottage Industries Tour

We are introducing this tour to reflect the great and ever increasing, interest being shown by our clients in new ‘countryside enterprises’ that have emerged in Wales. These new enterprises, particularly in the food sector, have come about as a result of diversification in agriculture.

One of the many success stories is ‘Gorau Glas’ a soft, creamy, blue-veined cheese created by farmer's wife Margaret Davies on their small farm on the Isle of Anglesey whilst Derwyn Jones an apiarist from Llanberis has some wonderful recipes for mead and fruit wine. Alongside these we have artists, and potters, weavers and spinners and a whole host of other craftspeople.

Your guide will take you on visits to art galleries, workshops, farms when you will have the opportunity to talk and to see people at their work as well as have the opportunity to purchase authentic gifts – most businesses have shipping arrangements.

We would like it to be known that Country Lane Tours or the guide will not benefit in being paid any commission by taking you to these places, apart maybe, from a cup of tea. ‘We need them just as much as they need us’.

Tour Prices:

• Cost per vehicle for 1 - 2 people £ 220 per day.
• Cost per vehicle for 3 - 4 people £270 per day.
• Cost per vehicle for 5 - 6 people £300 per day.
