Bardsey Island Pilgrimage

pilgrimage tourToday a growing number of people are looking for roots, not only geographical, but spiritual roots, connections with eternal things, continuities with ancient peoples, their theologies, faiths and mythologies. Our modern day pilgrimage we will follow the ancient route to Bardsey Island in the comfort of a modern motor-coach.

Bardsey Island is a small island off the coast of the Llyn Peninsular in North Wales; its first community was established by St Cadfan in around 430 AD and is believed to be the first monastic settlement in the whole of Britain. It is also known as the Island of 20,000 saints and was one of the most important places of pilgrimage of the Middle Ages.
